The SporoCore officially opened its doors in August 2020, with the help of seed funds provided by UGA’s Office of Research to Prof. Dennis Kyle, Director of the Center for Tropical and Emerging Global Diseases. As the Director of the SporoCore, Prof. Kyle brings decades of scientific and management experience in leading the facility, with day-to-day operations overseen by the Technical Director, Dr. Ashutosh (Ash) Pathak.
What is the SporoCore?
The SporoCore provides naïve, or Plasmodium-infected mosquitoes for research purposes.
